The craftsmanship and artisan focus put into this piece is clearly evident. The four feet of elegance is proudly displayed in our kitchen and admired by all who visit. “Fitz”
It was around 2018 when Rich found a hunk of wood washed-up on Charlestown Beach. He thought it was cool and dragged it home as I raised my eyebrows! That summer, he pulled it in and out of the shed to lay it in the sun so it could dry-out as I questioned his intention. Originally, he thought we could make some sort of sign with it, but it was eventually relegated to a corner of the shed and all but forgotten.
Then, we met Marty and Maralee Parker, and soon became aware of Marty’s wood carving talent. It didn’t take long for Rich to realize that that old plank of wood, given to us by the ocean, was destined to become a hand-carved whale!
Being the artisan that he is, Marty could see the whale in our wood immediately and he won our confidence with his great ideas.
We received a drawing prior to the start of his work and our whale, ‘Jack’, was carved to perfection! The most difficult part of the process was deciding where we would hang him. In the end, we found a great spot in our family room which is viewed by all who enter. We are completely satisfied and thrilled that Marty was able to transform our unique gift from the sea into a “Swell” Whale!

“Blue”
We absolutely love "Blue," the newest addition to our home! We spotted this beautifully carved and hand painted blue whale on Marty's social media and knew it would fit perfectly in our beach-themed sunroom. Marty personalized Blue, originally configured as a wall hanging, to allow the whale to sit stably on a table or windowsill where he now resides. Blue was carefully packaged and shipped, arriving safely before Christmas. Exceptional craftsmanship and great customer service—we're extremely satisfied with our purchase.
